LAVA LAKE - 6 miles
Take a gorgeous walk through lodgepole pine forest as the trail winds up by clear, cascading streams and take a dip in an incredible little azure lake surrounded by rocky peaks.
HELLROARING TRAIL
This hike is part of an extensive network of backcountry trails - go as far in as you want. You will hike alongside the cool, clear Hellroaring Creek as it flows through lodgepole pine forest.
CASTLE ROCK - 5 miles
This relatively easy climb takes you to the top of scenic Castle Rock, offering spectacular views of the peaks of the Castle Rock Drainage.
There are TONS of hiking options in the Bridger Mountains, the Sourdough and Cottonwood Canyons as well as Hyalite Recreation Area. All of which are 20 - 45 minutes from downtown Bozeman.
